Train Like An Animal, Play Like A Boss

I stole that off a t-shirt.  But I prefer, “Train like an animal, play like a BUD”, cause, let’s face it, nobody likes the boss…even sometimes the boss doesn’t.

Here’s how to be a buddy to yourself AND to others:

Share – If you have learned something useful, it’s probably useful to others, so share it.  Hidden jewel: You’ll feel great after you help someone else.

Hug – alot.  Hidden jewel: When you give a hug, you tend to receive one.

Appreciate – everyone around you, your neighbors at work and at home, those you share your dinner table with too.  Hidden jewel: Everyone needs emotional deposits and it motivates them to continue to give.

Get to the gym – While you’re there, crank it up.  No one is watching your performance, except you.  Hidden jewel: confidence, pride and sense of accomplishment.

Volunteer – Jump in and take a leadership position, or don’t, but then shut up.  Let the leaders lead and the workers work.  If you aren’t doing this, you have no clue what is involved.  Hidden jewel: you’re probably adding to your resume.

Banish “Can’t” from your vocabulary – Can’t is a 4 letter word.

Laugh – loud and proud.  This mortifies my kids.  That makes me laugh even more.

Broker of Trust and Authenticity I'm really a sales executive, but I'd rather identify with these ideals rather than to simply say...I'm a seller.
